Summary

Situated on the northern face of the Huab River valley and looking south towards the imposing Brandberg Mountains, Damaraland Camp is rated as the most successful eco-tourism venture in Namibia. It's also big game country, and although wildlife is not concentrated like it is at Etosha, Damaraland Camp is situated where the rare desert-adapted elephant roams alongside gemsbok (oryx), springbok, ostrich and other hardy desert animals. Lion and black rhino are also sometimes seen. This comfortable, friendly camp offers guided nature walks and game drives in one of the most beautiful wilderness areas in Namibia. And when you aren't out looking for wildlife, you can set off on a mountain bike excursion or head for to Twyfelfontein - a World Heritage Site - to view ancient Bushman rock art.
