Summary
Located on the border of the Makgadikgadi Pans in the Kalahari, the luxurious Jack's Camp is a welcome oasis in a harsh yet beautiful environment. The last of it's kind, the camp was founded in the mid 1960's and offers an old colonial style African safari camp with persian rugs, crisp cotton linen and mahogany furniture. Blending culture, history, geology and archeology - the camp offers a range of activities to visiting guests that include meerkat interaction, interpretative walks with the local San guides and a visit to the famed Chapmans Boabab - one of the oldest and largest trees in Africa. Bird watching is a pleasure with many endemic species along with game driving to view the wildlife in the area. During the dry season activities include quad biking out onto the great salt pans and sleep-outs under the stars. In the wet season guests may be rewarded with seeing the spectacular zebra and wildebeest migration through this region.
