Each of the six tents are constructed of wood and durable canvas on platforms over the dunes to ensure minimal impact on the natural environment. Environmental sustainability is high on the list for the Wolwedans camps and many details have been customized to take this into consideration when building and running the day to day activities. Spend the day out in the wilderness learning about the oldest desert in the world and the many creatures that inhabit its dunes, grasslands and dry riverbeds. This ‘nature’ camp offers visitors the opportunity to immerse themselves in the desert landscape with carefully planned and constructed tents and living spaces without losing its luxurious feel. The rooms are far enough from each other to offer privacy without feeling insecure in the wilderness (though the main guest area is a bit of a walk from the tents on the end).
