Day 1-2: On arrival in Johannesburg you will catch a connecting flight to Skukuza Airport, where you will be transferred to Rhino Post Safari Lodge in the Kruger National Park for a two night stay. Rhino Post is a luxurious safari lodge which, in addition to offering game drives and bush walks, also allows the adventurous to enjoy overnight sleep-outs on tree-top platforms.
Day 3-5: From Rhino Post you will be transferred back to Skukuza Airport to catch a flight to Cape Town, for a three night stay at Kensington Place. Stylish rooms, impeccable service, fabulous bathrooms, sun deck, swimming pool, city views and designer touches - Kensington Place really does have it all.
Cape Town offers the visitor a wide variety of activities and sights to enjoy. From the natural wonders of Table Mountain and the Cape Peninsula to the historic Robben Island, Cape Quarter and city museums. Enjoy the fantastic beaches alongside the vibey restaurants and bars for the perfect sun-downer experience. Cape Town has it all beautifully presented and ready for exploration.
Day 6-7: You will drive through to Hermanus for a two night stay at Birkenhead House. Located on the cliffs looking out to sea, this elegant property boasts luxurious accommodation, two swimming pools, a spa, wonderful cuisine, and the opportunity to enjoy exceptional whale-watching annually between June and October.
The seaside town of Hermanus started as a small fisherman’s village with quaint cottages and a backdrop of rolling mountain scenery. Today it is a well known whale watching destination drawing visitors from all over the world to see the Southern Right Whales who come to the protection of its bays to have their young (June-October). There are many activities to enjoy while staying in Hermanus including great white shark cage diving and wine farms to explore.
Day 8-9: From Hermanus you will drive through to Franschhoek, for a two night stay at The Last Word Franschhoek. A historic 10-room residence which is set right on the main street of quaint Franschhoek, within walking distance of numerous boutiques, galleries and eateries, and offers a superlative personal welcome - it is the perfect base from which to explore the winelands.
With its many French influences, you’ll be forgiven for thinking you’ve arrived in a different country when visiting Franschhoek. The sweeping views of the surrounding vineyards surrounded by their mountain sentinels are easily enjoyed with a glass of superb wine and a delicious meal. There’s plenty to choose from with many of South Africa’s award winning restaurants and wine cellars based in the valley.
Day 10-11: From Franschhoek you will drive back to Cape Town for a two night stay at The Last Word Long Beach, in Kommetjie. An elegant beach house-style stay beckons here, with The Last Word Long Beach situated on one of the Cape's most photogenic beaches and entices guests with a swimming pool, spa treatments and direct access to the sands.
The small seaside village of Kommetjie borders onto the Table Mountain National Park on the Cape Peninsula and is an ideal retreat for some beach time. The Last Word Long Beach is ideally located to explore Cape Point, Boulders Beach Penguin colony and the naval village of Simons Town or simply relax and enjoy the seaside ambiance.
Day 12: Drive through to Cape Town International Airport to catch you flight back home
