Overview
The natural beauty of Zimbabwe, with the Victoria Falls and it’s stunning National Parks has been overlooked by foreign visitors in recent years, however, the tourism industry has remained strong and there is still a fantastic choice of places to stay to compliment the beauty of the country.
Starting in Victoria Falls, you will be able to enjoy the wonderful views of The Falls and the Zambezi River, as well as enjoying other safari and river based activities. From there you will travel up to Hwange National Park for safari before finishing up at Lake Kariba and the lovely Bumi Hills safari lodge.

Day 1
You will arrive into Johannesburg this morning and then catch a connecting flight up to Victoria Falls where you will be met and transferred to the charming Victoria Falls Hotel for a 3 night stay. The rest of the day will be at leisure for you to relax and enjoy the gardens of the hotel and the view up to The Falls.

Combining old colonial charm with excellent modern facilities, The Victoria Falls Hotel is the best place to stay on the Zimbabwean side of The Falls. The views from the gardens up to the Falls are spectacular and many an afternoon has been spent watching this fantastic sight. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, set around the main building of the hotel and also the adjacent stable wing. The food here is excellent and Afternoon Tea is not to be missed!
Day 2
A day at The Falls offers a range of activities for you to enjoy. Tours of The Falls are naturally very popular, as is taking a “Flight of the Angles” by helicopter or microlight to see them from the air. Safaris can be organised into the nearby Victoria Falls National Park. Alternatively, guests can simply relax and enjoy the lovely surroundings of the hotel.

Another full day for you to enjoy the activities on offer from The Falls.

Day 4
After a leisurely breakfast you will be collected from the hotel for your road transfer down to the Hwange National Park and a 3 night stay at Somalisa Lodge. The drive should take around 3 hours so you will be there in time for lunch and some time to relax in the afternoon. You will then head out and enjoy an afternoon safari where you will have an excellent chance of spotting some of the large herds of elephants for which Hwange is so well known.

A small intimate tented camp tucked away subtly under a canopy of an acacia tree island on an ancient river system. This unbeatable wild elephant sanctuary is known for its large herds of elephant and the Somalisa concession in Hwange National Park affords you with your private African wildlife encounters from the minute you step out of your tent.

A full day on safari in the Hwange National Park from Somalisa Camp.

Day 7
You will enjoy a final morning safari in Hwange this morning before being transferred to the nearby airstrip for your flight up to Lake Kariba. There you will fly on to the Bumi Hills Safari Lodge where you will be spending the next 3 nights. After some time to relax you will enjoy Afternoon Tea before heading out on your afternoon game drive.

On the shores of Lake Kairba sits Bumi Hills Safari Lodge, long established as one of the premier safari lodges in the Kariba region. Each of the 20 rooms has views across the lake, with spacious bedrooms and their own balconies or verandas where you can relax during the day. There is an indoor dining room as well as an outdoor “boma” where you can enjoy al-fresco dining if the weather permits.
Day 8
A full day on safari from Bumi Hills, including a morning and afternoon game drive is a great chance to spot the animals of the Kariba region In addition to the game drives, the lodge offers boat trips on to Lake Kariba, either for some relaxing game viewing or some exhilarating Tiger Fishing. Guests also have the opportunity to track Rhino with their guide in the nearby Matusadona National Park.

Today will be a full day enjoying the safari activities on offer from Bumi Hills and, of course, taking some time to relax and enjoying the stunning views across Lake Kariba from the lodge.

After your morning safari activity you will have some time for breakfast before flying down to Victoria Falls and then taking a connection on to Johannesburg where arrangements end and you take your onward International flight.
