Combining Victoria Falls with Botswana is a very popular option and this itinerary allows you to see 2 of Botswana’s most famous safari regions, the Linyati Concession and Okavango Delta. The Falls are an amazing site themselves and coupled with variety of activities on offer make for a great start to your holiday. From there you have short transfers on to both Linyati and then the Okavango, making this an ideal itinerary for those looking to see 3 very diverse areas, but without having to do too much travelling.

Day 1
You will arrive into Johannesburg this morning where you will be met by an Africa Travel representative who will assist with your luggage and check-in for your flight up to Livingstone. On arrival there you will be met by Tongabezi staff who will transfer you by road to the lodge, about 30 minutes from Livingstone. You will be staying in one of the Garden Cottages for the next 3 nights. After lunch and some time to relax you will have the choice of an afternoon activity, with many guests opting for a relaxing river cruise on their first night.

30 minutes upstream from The Victoria Falls you will find Tongabezi Lodge, a combination of Garden Cottages and Tree Houses on the banks of the Zambezi River. The rooms are spacious and comfortably furnished, with areas for relaxing during the day. The main lodge houses the swimming pool and large, shaded decking area where meals are taken.
Guests benefit from a range of inclusive activities, such as game drives, guided tours of The Falls, river cruises, canoe excursions and fishing trips. Flights over the Falls – a “Flight of the Angels” can be arranged at an additional cost.
Day 2
A full day at Tongabezi gives you a great opportunity to enjoy the wealth of activities on offer from the lodge, You can enjoy game drives into the National Park, guided walking tours of The Falls, fishing excursions and canoe trips on the Zambezi. They can also arrange scenic flights over The Falls (additional cost) should you wish. You will have the choice of activities in both the morning and the afternoon/evening.

Day 3
Another full day for you to enjoy the activities on offer from Tongabezi, or simply to relax and enjoy the lovely surroundings of the lodge.

Day 4
After your morning activity and breakfast, you will be transferred from the lodge by road to Kasane where you will complete border formalities for your crossing into Botswana. You will be met on the other side and transferred up to the Linyati Concession of the Chobe Game Reserve where you will be spending the next 3 nights at the stunning Kings Pool Camp. After lunch and the afternoon to relax, you will head out on first game drive, a chance to start spotting the varied wildlife of the area.

The camp overlooks the Kings Pool Lagoon and Linyati River system offering a great chance for game viewing from the camp itself. The canvas and thatch rooms are very spacious, with their own private decking areas and plunge pools. In the main lodge you will find a series of decking areas and lounges, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the views out into the bush. A truly extraordinary location for your safari and one you won’t forget in a hurry.
Day 5
Today is a full day on safari at Kings Pool, allowing you to enjoy a variety of game viewing activities. You can, depending on the season, take guided walks, boat cruises and canoe trips. It is a great option for birding enthusiasts, with dedicated hides and birding guides to help you spot the varied birdlife of the region. In between activities, you have a lovely lodge in which to relax and enjoy the scenery.

Day 7
After your morning safari you will return to the lodge for breakfast before being transferred to Vumbura Plains Camp in the Okavango Delta where you will be spending the next 3 nights. After lunch and the afternoon to relax you will head back out on safari.

Located in the Northern part of the Okavango Delta, Vumbura Plains is one of the most luxurious camps in Botswana. Split into two 7 room camps, guests will be able to enjoy a private, intimate safari experience, complimented by excellent food and friendly, discreet service.
Rooms are spacious with sunken sitting areas and private decks with plunge pools, ideal for escaping the heat of the day.
In addition to the game drives, guests can enjoy guided walks and, when water levels permit, canoe excursions for another perspective on their game viewing.
Day 8
Today will be a full day on safari from Vumbura Plains Camp, enjoying the fantastic variety of activities on offer. In addition to the morning and afternoon game drives, you will be able to enjoy boat trips, canoe excursions, fishing trips and guided walks.

Day 10
After your morning safari activity you will head back to the lodge for breakfast and some time to relax. You will then be transferred to the airstrip for your flight down to Maun, where you will catch a connecting flight on to Johannesburg. There your arrangements will end as you collect your onward International flight.
